Listening to the universe

I was thinking about moving the car to be closer to our apartments exit, but I decided to wait another 10 minutes to give the mailman a chance to come.

When I moved the car, I began thinking about where our system is at in it's meltdown. There seems to be an optimism for the new and good building, and I wonder if that indicates we're close to the dying gasps and a new thought on living. "Lightning Crashes" from Live was playing on the radio and as it was crescendoing so was humanity.

I pulled into the cars new home and up pulled the mailman! But he was not going to deliver our mail, he was delivering the neighboring apartments, he's doing the one before ours.

So I decided to wait and see how the next song was, and perhaps I should be observing the mailman. But the next song didn't fit, and so when I went inside I found that the mail was already there.

Next time, don't second guess the signs.

Synchronistic book recommendation

I was reading about the flooding in Pakistan, Brazil's huge food production upgrade, and playing Tropico 3, all things that caused my thinking to orbit my future gubernatorial or presidential powers, edicts, and strategies in poor countries.

I was bringing a big stack of books inside that I had gotten from Ricky. Right at the end, a book fell out of the stack, "Burmese Days" by George Orwell. Perfect.

Cash drain

Marjan just had an emergency in her bank account, about half a dozen mystery charges. Someone was trying to steal all of her money! Fortunately, the bank froze the account and she should get all of her cash back. Getting money back is always a miracle, but not the one I'm interested in.

What's really interesting is that she received two warnings right before it happened. Thomas was talking about the importance of proper finances to a business, really stressing it hard. She also received an email right beforehand about identity theft.

Telepathy

I was trying to meditate away an encroaching headache. After some time, I had really dropped into a pain free state of calm. Suddenly I heard Marjan say "Baby!" in her urgently calling voice. My head snapped around but she wasn't in view. I got out of the car and went inside, where she was in a maelstrom of activity.

"Baby did you need me? I heard you call for me"

"Yes, all these people were coming and I thought "Baby I need you."

Later she described her "sending" as "Not just asking, but a deep wanting, with my heart and mind." "It was just a second, less than a second, like the speed of light."

Other signs abound.

Water assistance

We have a PUR water filter that I have blessed with stickers that have things like Joy, Truth, Love, Gratitude etc. facing inward and out. This blesses our water.

I was informed that it's better to have a larger water storage that gives the water a chance to absorb the positive vibes over a couple of days.

Matt and Samantha were continuing to downsize, or rightsize, their lives. They gave us a gallon water dispenser. Now we have the two stage water system that allows our water to collect positivity over time!

Blackberries

We were coming back from our family reunion. I called a quick stop to make sandwiches. We happened to stop in a little closed (it's Sunday) commercial area. Along a little river that ran behind the commercial buildings there was a big blackberry patch, full of ripe blackberries! I'm eating them now on my cereal.

Maintenance help

There were 3 lost nut/washer combinations. We found two, but the third was gone. It was happily noticed that the device, from the factory, had an extra nut and washer put on one of the screws. So that screw had a completely extra, superfluous set on it. I'd never seen that before.

An immediate delivery

Marjan was just wondering how long it was going to take for her new planner to arrive. Moments later, the door rang, and there it was.

This reminded her of the power of words that is claimed in "Conversations with God, and that we should overload our life with positivity.

A quick pick me up

Yesterday we were headed into Trader Joe's after lots of errands. I was feeling a little run down and a tiny bit crabby.

As I was putting my keys into my pocket I dropped them. Reaching down to pick them up, they are laying next to 5 dollars!

The Colonel Mustard murders

We were playing a game of Clue in the Philippines with our dear friends Steve and Kat. In the random discussion prior to the game, Steve was explaining why the lead pipe is bent (evidently they bend when smashing in peoples gourds.) He was playing as Colonel Mustard, as usual. The conversation went on some time, and gathered a fair amount of energy.

I had a strong feeling, no, I knew who the killer was, and with what, before we even started playing.

And I was right. As the end of the game approached, we could all see that it WAS Colonel Mustard, and he had used the lead pipe!

Brock sends a message to the future

My nephew Brock was over here last week. He's about a year and a half old. Along with being cute and such, even though he was ill about half of the time. He took it upon himself to push back all of the DVD's in our library, push them to the back of the shelf. He only did it to one shelf, the one that's a little over his head.

Later in the week, I was thinking about the big pile of VHS tapes that we had laying next to the T.V. They were a bunch of movies that Marjan hadn't watched yet, and was going through. They were also a big pile in the middle of the house.

After pondering and agitating around for some time, I realized that Brock had already provided me with the answer. The shelf of DVD's now had the perfect amount of space to have the VHS tapes stored in front of them! Marjan wanted to watch and then give away these tapes anyway, so the DVD's could wait backstage.

And thus, our house moved a step toward order thanks to the explorations of a baby.

McDogNose

We were fortunate to recieve a stack of coupons for McDogNose's free Mocha Frappe or Fruit Smoothie.  We use these to get us free drinks while draining their cash reserves.  Damn the Man!

Ooops.  So Marjan decided to give a couple to the lady who was cutting my hair.  Right afterward, we hit up the drive through and got our free drink.  I had been thinking maybe we should get two instead of sharing one, but we didn't.  When we picked up our order, it was a 16 oz. instead of 12 oz.

It was an immediate return of bounty, showered down upon our head!

Amazon cancellation

I received an email from Amazon telling me they have cancelled my seller account because I'm selling copied or counterfeit media.  This was a surprise, because I don't.

I worked backwards, why is this happening as an act of my own creation?

Well, earlier in the day I had updated the visa card associated with the account.  During this procedure I was considering how to sell off the few remaining things I have listed.  The selling is pretty much dead except during the holidays.  How long I would have to wait for the Christmas rush to kick in.

I wasn't really enjoying any of the time spent on the seller account anyway.  I was thinking about how low I would have to make the prices to just get rid of everything and be done with it.

Additionally, we are scrimping to put money into Marjan's photo booth company, so we can use every penny.

So basically the decision was made outside of my conscious field.  I was wasting time and languishing in an unproductive (for me) system.  I will now push the inventory back into circulation and cash out through the much more immediate eBay.

That is why this cancellation was a good, thing, and exactly what I wanted.

Star Wars extravaganza

For Christmas I gave Nels the AT-AT and Millennium Falcon that he had traded to me years ago.  I thought it would be nice for him to have them back, to get to enjoy them again after all these years.

I've always wanted a Boba Fett figure.

Recently, Matt took a big step and dissolved his Star Wars collection through donation instead of capitalism.  In the ensuing fray, I wound up with a brand new 90's era Millennium Falcon, Boba Fett, Slave 1 (Boba Fett's ship) and a bunch of other figures and models!

I don't remember getting to put the stickers on any of my Star Wars toys, they were usually second hand, traded for.  Finally, I had the joy of doing it, and to two of the coolest ships in the saga!

The dooooooooooor

As I was journeying down to the laundry permissions machine I realized with horror that I had forgotten the key!  I decided to push on, and hope for a miracle.  I hadn't ever seen the door unlocked.

Happily, it was propped open, awaiting my arrival!

Dry lips

Yesterday we went to the family reunion and had a great time.  On the way home, I noticed that my lips had gotten pretty dry.  I don't like using most chap sticks, and promptly forgot my need.

Today, Mom and I were on a quest that took us to The Herbalist, a nice store indeed.  Inside, I drank a free sample of fish oil mixed with Odwalla.  Including making me smarter, handsomer, taller and smarter, it oiled my lips!

Marjan helps Mom win big money

Marjan was getting ready to take a shower, when Mom called.  She told us she was going to the casino.  Marjan said we should send her lots of positive energy.  I did a little, then promptly got distracted.  Marjan did it for about 20 minutes, while showering.  As she got out of the shower, Mom called, saying she had just won $3000!

A mountain of electronics

I was deciding to learn electronics, unbeknown to my Mom.

Radio Shack was going out of business in her town.  She felt compelled to buy a back breaking amount of electronic components, even though no one had any use for them at the time.

Matt showed up with a bunch more when he found out my plans.

I now have mountains of electronics and the necessary tools, without having to invest more than about $30.

Subway sandwiches

My wife saw a Subway commercial during the day.  She desired one mightily, thinking about how long it had been since she had had one, and swayed by the power of advertising.

That night, we were weeding the garden at my Dad's house.  After some time, we were quite hungry.  I knew the local grocery was an old, small one, unusual now.  I thought it would be interesting for my wife, so I decided to stay and continue weeding.  She would drive with Dad.

Part way there, Dad changed his mind and decided to buy us all Subway sandwiches.  Her wish was granted during the height of her hunger.
